Teaching and learning in the afternoon - Phoenix Style

The Phoenix School provides after-school opportunities everyday. Younger students participate in a homework / student-led after-school course, while older students take advantage of the homework program. A nutritious snack and drink are provided.  There is an additional charge for these activities.  Parents may contract for the year or pay-as-needed– $15 a day for the homework / after-school course option, $10 a day for homework option.

Homework / After School Courses for PK – 2nd graders
Younger children spend the first part of the afternoon doing homework.  Then they attend a hands-on course taught by an older Phoenix student on a subject of their own choosing. Subjects range from sharks to chocolate to cartooning, and involve a wide variety of hands-on activities.  The course ends at 4:30 pm.  Pick-up is by 5:00 pm.

Homework Option for 2nd-8th graders
All students may elect to participate in homework help until 5PM. Teachers are available to ask questions and provide guidance.
