Taught in Holt, Michigan, the American School in the Hague, and the Salem Public Schools: Salem Public Alternative School, the Talented and Gifted program, Title I math/reading coordinator. Founded The Phoenix School in 1981. Professional development focused on middle school mathematics, technology/engineering, and science. Certified in elementary/middle school education, K-12 reading.

Taught a K-1-2 Integrated Day program at the Shady Hill School and Fayerweather St. School in Cambridge. Principal of the Salem Public Alternative School, Director of Magnet Programs including Gifted and Talented Education in Salem. Founded The Phoenix School in 1981. Professional development focused on pre-K-3 mathematics, technology/engineering, and science. Certified in elementary education and administration.

B.A. in Biochemistry from Wheaton College (1994). Master’s degree in Creative Arts and Education from Endicott College (2005). Dean’s Intern for AIDS and Sexuality Education, Wheaton College ’92-’94. Previously an intern at The Phoenix School, Professional development focused on middle school math, marine science, and art education. Joined The Phoenix faculty in 1995.

B.S. in Marine studies, minor in Physical Education and Psychology from University of Rhode Island cum laude (2002). Former FT Phoenix faculty member (2002 - 2005). Marine Science Instructor-Catalina Island Marine Institute-Catalina CA.-1.5 years. Tour Director-led community service trip for 24 students entering 10th-12th grade. Instructor/Deckhand aboard tall ship American Pride, Long Beach CA- 9 months. Sail Instructor–Catalina Island Marine Institute-taught sailing on Catamarans, lasers, 4-20’s, 22ft. sailing vessel, and board sails. Summer Adventures @ Phoenix instructor 2005 – 2007.

Electronics and prototype machine design — ultrasonic machines that made semiconductors for one of the first digital watches and other digital equipment, automatic equipment to build diodes, transistors, capacitors, and protoype equipment, automatic control systems for the bowling industry, mechanical organs, refurbished vintage pinball machines and jukeboxes

BA in Arts and Ideas from the University of Michigan (1979). Master’s degree in Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University (December 2007). Initial licensure to teach Elementary Education 1-6. Level 1 Orff Shulwerk certification. Company member: Jimmy Raye dancers and gravity dance. Piano lessons 2005-2007. Creative and performing arts teacher at The Phoenix School (1996 – 2004 ), tutor at Kipp Academy, Lynn (2007).
