Engineers in the Wild
Join The Phoenix Natural Engineering Team and become an eco-friendly engineer. Design and build a hovercraft that is powered by the wind, make a mini-oven, build a machine that can clean water, and float in your very own raft made of natural and recycled materials. Come take a trip into the outdoors to help build prototypes that utilize natural elements and keep the environment clean.
Rube Goldberg is Cool
Rube Goldberg was an artist, inventor, engineer, and sculptor. He is famous for the complex contraptions he invented to accomplish simple tasks. Have you ever watched the exhibit of rolling balls at Logan Airport? That’s a Rube Goldberg-type machine. Come join us to make one of your own. Use your imagination along with household items, engineering and sceince materials, and art materials to join together simple machines to make things happen in the style of Rube Goldberg. The wackier the better!
